Child

Urgent help is needed for Gift. Wheelchair, Food & Medical Support.

Stories • Progress • Prayer requests * 6/4/26

Dear family! I wanted to share a situation with you, about one of the children at our orphanage named Gift.
Gift is a young girl living with a disability that affects her mobility and strength. She currently has no wheelchair, so she spends most of her days lying on a mat.
She also struggles with low weight and frequent illness, partly because of no family support.
Her mother is a single parent with no source of income or family support.

Right now, Gift’s needs are:
Wheelchair – to give her mobility and dignity
Nutritious food – to help her gain weight and strength
Medication and medical assessment – to address her condition and ongoing symptoms
Basic hygiene supplies – soap, pads, and clean water access.

Any support toward these needs would directly improve Gift’s daily life and give her mother some relief. I’ve shared photos and videos, and our NGO document in our social media for transparency.
If you’d like, I can also share medical reports once we get her assessed at the health center.
Even a small contribution helps. If you’re unable to give financially, sharing this with someone who can would mean the world to us.
With gratitude,

Food security and how far your donations go

"Things are tough here brother and if we can receive only $20 at least for this time, could mean the world to us now because it can help to buy some kilograms of posho or rice to fix for children. but we have not the means to get it 😔🙌"

Please Pray for our food security and success in obtaining it for our children.

Water Troubles

Stories • Progress • Prayer requests * 5/25/26

Dear Brothers and sisters, I’m writing to update you on our water situation at the orphanage.
Since our borehole subscription has run out, and we can’t access clean water anymore. Right now we’re using water from a nearby pond for cooking and drinking. It’s not safe, several kids have started showing signs of waterborne illness like stomach pain and diarrhea. We do attempt to filter and boil but the water still comes out fairly dirty. To keep the children healthy, we need $55 to reconnect to a clean water source for the home. This will cover daily water for cooking, and general cleanliness. Thank you for reading this and for always standing with us. We’re praying for a quick solution.

“They even asked for 80% which is $40 of the money to be staying using the water but we couldn’t get it so we’re really suffering with water staff, now we have to walk a long distance looking for water it’s now making one and a half weeks but we can’t really manage it’s a long distance so we’re facing a hard time now. We are really praying 😔🙏🙌” - Percy

Please Pray for our water and success in obtaining it for our children.

Great and Holy Pascha

Stories • Progress • Prayer requests * 3/30/26

Xristos Anesti! Our easter celebration was very successful.
We have gone into a small amount of debt to afford the clothes on time but we are slowly making our way out of it thanks to our generous donors like Alexandru Florescu and Leonardo Flores. Thank you everyone and we will keep praying for more support.

Please Pray for our food and success in caring for our children.

Farm

How do we feed ourselves and make money?

Stories • Progress • Prayer requests * 3/7/26

We have maize and bean farming projects. This supports us in feeding kids and selling some to get funds for other necessities such as paying school tuition, buying clothes, paying rent and labour.
We also have tree plantation projects (Mainly Eucalyptus) we have hope that it will help us in future plans for selling to get charity funds and helping us in building our home.
We specialize in subsistence farming which is a dominant method focusing on growing food crops for family consumption with the surplus sold for income

Please Pray for our food security and success in feeding our children.

New Name

We have changed our name to Rays of Grace Children

Stories • Progress • Prayer requests * 3/5/26

We have officially gotten certification for our Orphanage! Since there are already many organizations with the name St Peter's Orphanage Foundation, we had to change our name to Rays of Grace Childrens Orphanage. Hopefully there will be no more confusion, if you have any questions about our name change, please reach out to us through our contact page. As we are now registered as Rays of Grace Childrens Orphanage and we are so excited to continue our work with this new name and certification.

Please Pray for our food security and success in obtaining our donations.

Pig pen

We have finished construction of the new pig pen

Stories • Progress • Prayer requests * 1/5/26

As a charity, we rely on more projects for the success and progress of the charity. It was a Monday morning, I met a farmer by the names of Mr. Mukose Samuel, by then we were focusing on agriculture only but he introduced us with pig project plan where he explained that pig farming is so far the best project that can easily lift up the living standards of people who are the area.

So we bought his plan that will change our life at the charity. Advantages include

  • -Selling piglets can help us to buy food that can help to feed at least 10 kids
  • -Waste materials can help as manure to our agriculture
  • -Some kids love enjoying pork and more others

  • All though there is some added cost
  • -Vaccination
  • -Quality breeds
  • -Feeding and nutrition
  • -Water supply
  • -Veterinary care and more others
  • -We spent around $50 to feed them on daily basis
  • -Paying labor around $70 monthly
  • -Veterinary care around $30 weekly
  • -Water supply around $10 daily
  • - and others over $65

Please Pray for our food security and success in agriculture.
